Description: The Boeing 757-200 was the original version of this aircraft. It first entered service with Eastern Airlines in 1983. Although designed for short and medium length routes, the 757-200 has since been used in a variety of roles, ranging from high frequency shuttle services to transatlantic routes. A total of 1,049 Boeing 757's have been delivered. The 757-300 is a stretch version of the 200. It has a fuselage stretch of 23 feet, enabling it to carry 43 more passengers. Republic Airlines was a United States airline founded on 01 July 1979. On that date the airline was formed by the merger of North Central Airlines and Southern Airways. Republic's headquarters were at the Minneapolis/St. Paul International Airport. Republic was acquired by and merged with Northwest Airlines in December of 1986. Northwest was merged with Delta Airlines in 2008. This Republic Airlines Boeing 757 with registration number N601RC had its maiden flight on 11 December 1985. It was delivered to Republic on 19 December 1985. N601RC flew with Republic until the merger with Northwest in October of 2008, when the livery changed to Northwest. It then provided service with America West Airlines, U.S. Airways, and ended up with American Airlines as N901AW. At the end of it's service life, it was placed into storage. This 1:200 scale Flight Miniatures solid resin reproduction of the Republic Airlines Boeing 757-2S7 is a detailed, limited edition and no longer in production model. It has the Republic livery used during the 1980's. The model comes with a display stand. Although the model is new, the box has seen better days from long term storage. All sales are final.
