FUJIFILM FINEPIX S700 (aka S5700) 7mp 10x ZOOM - WORKING, ONE ISSUE

Description: A few years behind the times but still capable of excellent results at a fraction of the price of current bridge cameras, and has a CCD sensor rather than the CMOS sensor some photographers prefer to avoid. The 10x zoom covers the 35mm equivalent of 38-380mm and shows good sharpness even at full zoom - the photo of the Southwest airliner was taken at full zoom and then enlarged 6x in software and still looks good. The first two sample shots show the short and long end of the zoom range. The camera has a full set of P-A-S-M modes plus scene modes, and all major functions have tested out successfully - except one. Unfortunately the flash mechanism is faulty and the flash only deploys part-way (see the listing photo) and the flash does not fire. However, it does fire if you push it up to its full extent and hold it there with one finger while shooting.Cosmetically the camera is in excellent condition and could pass as new, but for a minor scuff in the screen coating, hard to find and completely undetectable with the screen in use.Note that the S700 was known as the S5700 on the American market, it's exactly the same camera with one exception - see next.Runs off four AA batteries and records images on SD cards (not the xD card required by the S5700).
