The coin is made out of a heavy gold colored base metal and is deeply imprinted and embossed on both sides. The coin has beautiful detail and multi-tones and textures that brilliantly highlight the badge and the high-relief image of both Saint Michael and the Demon on the reverse. The coin measures approximately 1.75" in diameter and is approximately 1/8" thick. The front side of the coin features the official Harris County Sheriff's Office BADGE surrounded by the words "HARRIS COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE" and the state of "TEXAS". The reverse side of the coin depicts the patron saint of law enforcement Archangel SAINT MICHAEL with his sword in hand standing over the fallen image of the defeated DEMON with his head beneath St. Michael's foot. Above Saint Michael are the words "SAINT MICHAEL" and beneath the Demon are the words "PATRON SAINT OF LAW ENFORCEMENT".
