The medal ribbons have Balaclava clasps. The pair of cufflinks are made from two silver plated miniature medals showing both the obverse (Queen’s head and date) and reverse (a roman warrior receiving the laurel crown) of the medals. The Crimea Medal was awarded to British and some allied French Forces for service during the Crimea War. The cufflinks are made with a swivel back with an attractive diamond pattern on the swivel and are 18 mm in diameter. They represent a unique part of history and the beautiful miniature medals, ribbons and clasps have been carefully cleaned and mounted to retain some of the original character of the medals, whilst highlighting the beautiful details and date of these medals. This is a truly unique gift and a chance to own a small piece of history lovingly restored and made into a beautiful pair of cufflinks.
