Hydro-boost hydraulic braking systems are capable of delivering significantly greater pressure through a braking system than a vacuum boost. In some cases, you can more than double the pounds of pressure being distributed to your brakes simply by opting for hydro-boost.This quality Hydro-Boost hydraulic brake assist power booster generates up to 1800psi of line pressure to the brake calipers. It is fitted with a cast iron "Corvette style" Master Cylinder and disc / drum Proportioning Valve. This kit is powered by hydraulic line pressure from the power steering pump. Firewall and valve cover clearance is equivalent to a 7" diameter vacuum booster. The average power steering pump puts out from 800psi to 1400psi line pressure. The Hydro-Boost uses this pressure to “boost” the force on the master cylinder's brake fluid and therefore apply more force to the brake calipers (and subsequently more force on the rotors with the brake pads). This greatly improves stopping performance and driver feedback. Offers a total piston stroke of 1.10" and a 2:1 volume ratio between the primary and secondary chambers. This master cylinder comes with a 1.00" bore size and with a black E-coat finish.This kit also includes the Mounting Bracket, Stainless Lines and bolts with spacers. These fluid tubes are precision bent with preinstalled stainless tube nuts for a simple bolt-on installation between the Combination Proportioning Valve and the Wilwood Tandem Master Cylinder.
