Description: Imperial German, Great War, Minty, Non-Commissioned Officer’s Mutze from a Artillery Regiment of the Kingdom of Saxony. Saxony was the smallest of the four Kingdoms of the German Empire. The Grand Duchy of Baden was a bit larger in area than Saxony. My research found Saxony fielded 9 Field Artillery Regiments and 2 Foot Artillery Regiments in the Great War. Imperial Germany was a federation of twenty-seven kingdoms, duchies, principalities and "free and imperial cities". By far the largest of these components was Prussia, whose King also bore the title of German emperor. Most Uniform Items from this period have some degree of moth tracks. This cap does not appear to have any detectable moth tracks. Multiple purchases can be combined for postal savings.
