These Lower Harder beam Elk and deer chews have a thicker outer "enamel" and are the longest lasting sections from an elk or deer antler. These are best for aggressive chewing dogs. The Photos (stock photos) show the approximate size of the antler chews and what they are likely to look like. The idea is that you can pick different sizes and soft or hard chews in the same order and get a discount. The last two photos show the difference in wall thickness between Upper and Lower beam chews. The lower beam chews have a thicker outer wall or "enamal" if you will. X-Small: 1-2 oz. Small: 2-4 oz. These are all 100% naturally shed antlers that either my lab and I collect ourselves or are purchased from local shed hunters. They are not treated in any way. There may be light surface cracking on some of them but they will be from fresher antlers. Warning: Antlers can and do cause slab fractures on some dogs. Anything hard has the potential to do this so keep this in mind and supervise your dog when chewing these. Also it is best to use a larger chew that they are less likely to clamp down on. If your dog is trying to crack the antler then it should be taken away. They should grind them down fairly slowly. Also when they get too small they may become a choking hazard and should be removed.
