Vinyl surfaces are all graded in VG+ to EXCELLENT condition—the Interview album has visible wear and is graded in VG- as is the most coveted album Live At The Star Club—normal wear from normal use that’s visible. Box is graded in VG- condition due to shelf wear on corners—one corner just beginning to split. Three tiny scratches on Vol. 9 only on the song; She Still Comes Around. Book is graded in VG+ condition—it has been gently read. This wonderful 10 LP BOXED SET has an informative book by Colin Escot and covers the years when Jerry Lee Lewis was transitioning from a rock ’n’ roll pioneer into a country artist. The change was due partly to the scandal that erupted around “The Killer” when it was publicized during a UK tour that he was married to his 13 year old cousin. Jerry Lee’s influences were all country artists (rock & roll didn’t exist when he started) and he was even more successful as a country artist. What you get here is a nice mix of the boogie woogie/rockabilly numbers he made his name with, and the country songs that made up the bulk of his hit singles; What Made Milwaukee Famous, How's My Ex Treating You?, & She Still Comes Around (To Love What’s Left Of Me). Also included are some duets with his sister Linda Gail Lewis (who later did an album of duets with Van Morrsion) and his holiday release; I Can't Have A Merry Christmas, Mary (Without You). The most coveted release (long unavailable in the U.S.) Live At The Star Club—arguably the greatest live album ever released—backed by The Nashville Teens, is not surprisingly the disc that has seen the most play.
