Description: Original surrealist artist proof etching by Jorge Sendra on aquatint and embossed paper. Sendra (1930-2004) was born in Barcelona but died in California. The Spanish artist’s early work was inspired by the school of nature that inspired many Catalan painters at the end of the 19th century. His work is based on a very subtle spectrum of lines and negative spaces. He was greatly influenced by Mexican artists Ricardo Martinez, Francisco Zuniga and Native American artist RC Gorman. The print is numbered (A/P) to the lower left and signed lower right. Sendra embossed on lower right under matte. Very good condition.
