Lovely Scarce Almost 100 Years Old~30's Chinese~Millefiori Scramble Paperweight

Description: Lovely Piece of Paperweight History~Chinese Millefiori Scramble Paperweight 1930's Scarce weight - most of the Chinese weights from this time period you come across are the small ones - which I have quite a # of also that I'll be listing. This is my ONLY pedestal and only one this big out of 20 or so 1930's Chinese weights. Just look all the pics over! If you enjoy looking around in your paperweights - this one has all sorts of canes to see in there and some latticino as well. I continue to do research as I've got such a huge collection to sell and was tickled to come across something you may or may not know. The content of glass on these old Chinese weights tends to give them that color that is just a bit off - AND - makes them feel for lack of better way to put it - kind of oily! I was so happy to come across this info because I have actually tried to wash a few of mom's "little old Chinese weights" and wondered where on earth they picked up that oily feel.I didn't have words for it till I read about it and immediately knew what they were talking about. Very cool! Some of my little ones have that off color of the clear glass more than others - on this one - pretty darn clear. Approx 3" tall and 2.75" in diameter. I've got around 450 paperweights from my sweet mom's collection that I've inherited. She did most of her collecting during the 70's and 80's. I've got it all - names you know and unsigned beauties too. I'm just getting started on the big roll out on eBay. I can usually ship within 48 hours. I recycle all the shipping materials I can so it may not be pretty but I pack safe and secure. USPS insured. Currently not shipping outside the continental US.
