Description: This is a RETURN COPY of Mad #22 (E.C., 1955). This is a "Special Art Issue" with a Picasso-influenced cover. Bill Elder and Harvey Kurtzman did most of the insane art! This copy has the TOP THIRD OF THE COVER CUT OFF. This was from the days before comic stores when merchants could maim the comics that didn't sell and send this third of the cover back to the publisher for a refund. Other than this horrible defect, the copy looks great for its age. The bottom staple is firmly attached, than the bottom 2/3 of the spine is fully-intact. There are a few small scuffs and stains on the back cover. The colors are vibrant, and there is a lot of cover gloss. There is moderate tanning on the cover. The interior pages are complete with no tears or cutouts. I have been selling comics on eBay for about seven years, but I have been buying comics on eBay for over twenty years. As a buyer, it always makes me happy when comics are accurately described. As a seller, my goal is to pass that happiness along to my customers! Any comics that you win will be packed with care, just as I like to receive them. Please let me know if you have any questions about these comics. If you win multiple items, I will combine shipping as much as I can to save you money, so be sure to check out my other auctions. Thank you for looking! I welcome international and overseas buyers! Check with me before bidding so that I can determine your shipping costs.
