Description: TITLE: Vintage Chilean Wall Hanging / Rug - Andes South American Folk Art CONTENTS: Wonderful Wall Hanging, hand Knotted bought in South Central area of Chile in the area of Mapuche. An area where traditional folk art is practised and specifically textile design. As can be seen the famous Guemil Geometric Criss cross design is used to frame the figuers looking towards the mountains, the Andes are the longest mountain range in the world and have a huge significance to the peoples of all of South America.The soft purple and blues are complimentary with the black and greys the composition is excellent.There is a wooden dowel that is fitted along the top to aid in hanging 98cm Long63.5cm Wide This will need to be sent in a postal tube to protect it The overall condition does show some signs of wear and tear, i noted a small hole when held up to the light, I havent attempted to clean it, expect some marks although nothing obvious, the tassles are mostly intact and complete but not all. The odd Pulled thread is evident. This is a used preowned item and therefore will shows signs of handling and use ie. Light Surface Scratches, marks, and dust in hard to reach areas. CONDITION: I will always disclose all noticeable physical damage plus anything I think is noteworthy, but I'd ask you as the buyer to take your time before buying to assess the item yourself by examining the photos as you may spot something I have missed.Photos are of the exact item you will be sent.
