McKee Black Hard to Find 7 1/2 inch Thick Rim Deluxe Mixing Bowl

Description: McKee Black Hard to Find 7 1/2" Thick Rim Deluxe Mixing Bowl COMPANY / MAKER: McKee ITEM: McKee Black 7 1/2" bowl - Part of the No. 123 3 Piece Bowl Set COLOR: Black CIRCA: 1920s / 30s MEASUREMENT: 3 1/2" H. - 7 1/2" D. CONDITION: McKee made this lovely 7 1/2 mixing bowl. It was listed as part of the Deluxe 3 piece Mixing Bowl Set that McKee made in the 1930s. The 7 1/2" Delux bowl was also sold with a chrome metal holder, without the other two bowls. This striking bowl was found with one of these original holders. The holder is in good shape but it is chrome plated and there is some discoloration and scratching. It is in much better shape than many that we have seen in the post. A good polishing would make it look much better. We are selling the bowl and the metal holder is just gravy. The mixing bowl is in Undamaged Condition without chips, cracks, or major mold imperfections. The inside of the bowls are nice and clean without residue or scratching. There is no inner rim roughness that is usually found on the bowls. For those who collect For those who collect hard to find McKee items this bowl would make a great addition to your collection. McKee Black / Ebony Glass - (1930s) The McKee Glass Company made black / Ebony glass. While not as large a line as their Jadite, Custard, Chalaine Blue, and Delphite there were quite a few pieces of kitchen glass produced. Shakers, and bowls, reamers, a salt box, a Tom and Jerry set, some "Bottoms Up" pieces are available. Although hard to find, round leftovers (or canisters) have been found. The round canisters have also been found with black lids and other colored bottoms. Most McKee vases and planters were made in the Ebony color.
