Description: This is a 3-Phase Permanent Magnet Generator.. It is designed to work at 600 to 2500 watts output, for charging batteries in Home Power systems. Note that this is a 3-Phase, AC generator and you need to purchase your own 3-phase full wave rectifier to convert the AC output to DC for charging batteries, from 12 to 48 VDC after your rectifier bridge. You can find 3-phase rectifiers and Charge Controllers on eBay from companies like Coleman Air. It is a "Y" connected winding and the Neutral is not brought out of the generator. PM Generator ME1603. The generator uses 12 Ceramic Magnets and has over 85% efficiency, much higher than a standard car alternator which is usually 60%. Designed for use on your own Pico Hydro Projects. You will also need to build a water box and add a nozzle, plus you will need a 3-phase full wave rectifier and a charge controller, plus a Turgo or Pelton Wheel. Easily provides 1000 watts of power with one nozzle, 2500 watts with two nozzles. With one 3/4 inch nozzle and 28 PSI (65 feet), 80 gallons per minute, it provides 500 watts output. You can add up to 4 nozzles. The output voltage is directly proportional to the speed. A speed of 1200 rpm minimum is required to charge 24 VDC batteries. Double the speed and you get double the voltage. This is a very durable generator and there are no brushes to wear-out. The shaft is stainless steel, and there is a bearing seal on the shaft.
