The verso has several gallery labels including one from Del Chiaro Giullo, and Gallerie d'Art Modern. There is also an ink signature (or stamp), Paul Alexander on the verso. Paul Alexander is well documented as a patron and friend of Modigliani from 1907-1914. Provenance: Collection of Paul Alexander Private American collection until 2007.
