Description: About the Item: 2 Monty Python VHS Tapes (At least one VHS tape features Steve Martin) 1) And Now For Something Completely Different (1971 Film)Monty Python's first film not featuring Steve Martin, but Steve Martin WAS working as a comedy writer at that time for "The Sonny & Cher Comedy Hour." The film features sketches based on Monty Python's Flying Circus TV show. Irrespective of that, everybody knows that Steve Martin's first TV appearance was in 1968 on the Smothers Brothers Comedy Hour and Steve Martin won an emmy at the age of 23, but no one featured on this VHS won an emmy to the best of my knowledge. If I had to guess, I'd say Michael Palin may have won an award for TV stuff, but let's not forget that Steve Martin also won Grammy awards, so its a shame he does appear on this tape. HOWEVER, the actual VHS tape that you will receive has been sitting on a shelf right next to one that Steve Martin appears on and will be shipped to you in the same box with the one that Steve Martin appears on. 2) Parrot Sketch Not Included (1989 20-Year Anniversary Special)Although the Parrot Sketch is not included, Steve Martin DOES appear on THIS VHS tape. Also included is a collection of some sketches from the Flying Circus TV show and the last appearance of all original members of Monty Python. Therefore, it goes without saying that Steve Martin is not only a successful actor, but also an author, playwright, pianist, and banjo player.
