Description: This is MRS W CRADDOCK’s DIARY Uncommon 1865-1891 diary of a married Devon woman who inherits in 1887, and travels around the county, to London and various parts of England, sometimes with her husband and children, which may (or may not) have formed the basis for W Somerset Maugham’s eponymous 1902 novel … Hardback, around five inches by 7.25 than tall, is bound in its binder’s original Antique Spot Marbled boards, reinforced at the corners and the (worn) back-strip in leather. Rules are original gilt. Uncredited publisher but printed by W. G. Croump, Exeter, undated (circa 1892-1900). Free from permanent inscription and, save some light marginal lines, all pencil, any markings to the text. Although interior condition is overall good, because this original letterpress book is more than 100-years-old old, it displays minor signs of use and age — like the usual discolouration to old paper — consistent with a printed object of this vintage. All 195 numbered text pp are complete and otherwise correct.√ ⁂ Unrecorded by either Worldcat or Library Hub. ⁂ Your book, anywhere within the UK, is sent to you FREE.
