Description: Description Up for auction is an antiquarian hardcover "Napoleon and His Marshalls (Volume 1)" by J. T. Headley and published in 1847! The book is in Good condition, with a tight and clean binding, with a small tear at the top of the spine as may be seen in the photos! There is foxing throughout the book, as would be expected in a 176 year old book! Note how the foxing on the title page caused the plate on the opposite page to "bleed through" causing a reversed image on the title page! The book measures 8" x 5.5" x 1.5" and will be securely packed and shipped to ensure it arrives in the same condition you see in the photos! This book was part of an incredible estate sale of a home in the Midwest that was built at the end of the Civil War. The home's library contained HUNDREDS of rare and collectible antiquarian books that I will be listing over the next several months.
