These locomotives, for fast passenger service, were of 4700 horsepower, an increase of approximately 15 percent over the previous Hudsons. The streamlining was designed by Henry Dreyfuss, noted industrial designer. This high quality 8 x 10 b&w photo is brand-new and has been originally reproduced from a transparency or negative.
