Description: This is an original hand colored lithograph from the octavo edition of John James Audubon’s Quadrupeds of North America. The first edition was published between 1849-54 by Victor Audubon his son. The original lithographer was Nagel and Weingartner, NY. Early on the printing and coloring was taken over by JT Bowen, Philadelphia. The Peccary come from volume I. This print lacks the printers name, a bit unusual.
