Original Leendert Springer Jr. Oil Painting on Board 1831-1894 Rare Dutch Paint!

Description: Up for sale is a beautiful original oil painting from the well listed Dutch artists Leendert Springer Jr. (1831-1894). Executed in oil on board this well executed composition shows 10+ figures enjoying the cold winter weather by ice skating, sledding, etc. With the traditional dutch house on the left and the frozen lake to the right a beautiful cloudy blue sky sits overhead. A previous frame caused damage the edges of the painting where the frame rubbed against it. Please refer to the photos. Since this is on a very nice and old piece of wood which has contracted and expanded caused craquelure. Signed in the low left corner this work would greatly benefit from a good cleaning which would help brighten the colors and compositional depth. There is also paint chipping on the bottom right corner along the bottom edge and a little on the windmill. Measures 10 x 7.5 inches this work comes unframed.
