Description: RARE 1876-1880s VICTOR Homer Laughlin Brush Jar Eagle-Over-Lion Indianhead Cent Anything of the Laughlin China Co. from the very early years is difficult to find at best. This highly-sought "horned brush jar" is a great piece to add to your collection for sure! The 1876 penny is just glued on with flexible adhesive (easily removed) and was done for a display back in 2006 that celebrated 130 years of Homer Laughlin China Co. [1876-2006]. The backstamp is a bit smudged, but yet readable: 'Eagle-over-Lion' mark over Premium Stone China with Patent Appl. For Overall very good...no cracks, dings, chips, etc. A bit of 'aging' from being handled over the past 145+ years, but typical of much of early Laughlin 'white ware.' A small amount of staining in the bottom inside does not distract. The Indianhead cent is fairly detailed and collectable in its own right. See photos for details Stands approx. 5" tall.
