Description: This listing is for a beautiful Millersburg glass tall compote in the tulip pattern with 9-sided base. This is an extremely rare piece of early American pattern glass. The company only existed for a few years, so this piece dates from roughly 1909-1911. Overall height is about 8-5/8". Overall width is about 6-1/2" across. The base measures about 4" across. This compote came with a hand-tooled top rim that was either flared or ruffled. The ruffled version could measure 9" or taller depending on how high the ruffles were tooled. The flared version is a bit shorter overall. EXCELLENT condition with the only issues that I could find being a miniscule fleabite on the stem, and some roughness to the underside of a few base points. (noted only for accuracy - as they are very hard to detect). Otherwise a few standard strawmarks, inclusions, and bubbles - the most notable being the perfectly (accidentally) placed bubble located in the center of the stem! Overall nice, clear glass.
