Description: Real McCoy's Buco J-24 Horsehide D-Pocket Shinki Teacore Leather Motorcycle Jacket 40 Used in excellent condition. Jacket has been worn for vintage motorcycle riding, so there are scuffs and scrapes where brown teacore is showing through. Lining has some slight fraying at each arm hole that is stable. All zippers and snaps work perfectly. The belt and collar are unused and have not been worn with the jacket. Please see photos for best indication of condition. This is the 2021 (current) model updated to better fit the American market. I am always a 42 and this jacket fits me perfectly. Hard decision to sell this one, it's a great jacket. Includes RMC Buco mouton collar (unworn, $305 MSRP), RMC Buco rider's waist belt (unworn, $230 MSRP), and original RMC wooden hanger. Purchased from Standard & Strange. Measurements (from S&S - please see included photos for my attempt at measuring): Front Length: 25.25" Shoulder: 18" Chest: 43" Sleeve Length: 26.125" Back Length: 22.50" Product details Founded in 1933 as the "Joseph Buegeleisen Co.” Buco were first specialists in motorcycle accessories and saddlebags. In 1947, they launched "Buco", a full apparel line with the slogan: “Motorcycle jackets, gloves, caps, belts and bags all cut and sewn by life long craftsmen dedicated to the task at hand”. The Real McCoy's acquired the license to produce the brand, and they have applied their usual diligence and attention to detail in producing Buco pieces. All of the Real McCoy's flagship leather jackets are made at their headquarters in Kobe. Before sewing begins, the custom-tanned horsehide is cut very carefully to avoid thin or damaged areas as part of their obsessive quest to make a jacket that will last more than a lifetime. From the hand-cut horsehide pieces, one highly trained craftsman makes each jacket start-to-finish, moving from station to station with their work. The J-24 is a reproduction of one of the iconic 1950’s Buco jackets, cut from vegetable-tanned, pigment-finished horsehide. The leather is brown-core with a black finish, leading to a brown cast in high-wear areas. The Talon zippers are flawless re-creations of the then-revolutionary zippers on the original jacket. The liner is quilted nylon, true to the spirit of the original. These run true to size. The fit has been tweaked from previous editions of the J-24 Jacket, so check our measurements before ordering, as these will not fit the same.
