This is the poster used to promote the concert in Tulsa OK of living legend Robert Plant and the Band of Joy at the historic Brady Theater July 16 2010. Robert Plant, the voice of Led Zeppelin, is one of the most significant singers in rock music. A giant in the history of rock and roll, he created the sound that has defined the hard rock and heavy metal vocal style. In 2006, heavy metal magazine Hit Parader named Plant #1 on their list of the 100 Greatest Metal Vocalists of All-Time. in 2009 Plant, along with Alison Krauss won Grammy Awards for Album of the Year, Record of the Year, Pop Collaboration with Vocals, Country Collaboration with Vocals, and Contemporary Folk/Americana Album. In 1995, Plant with Led Zeppelin was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. This was a great concert beginning his tour with his group Band of Joy (reprising the name of his very first band in the 1960s). The group features the down-home inspiration of Patty Griffin on vocals, a wonderful singer in her own right, the unrivaled rockabilly and surf-guitar of Buddy Miller, versatile former Sun Studio musician Byron House on stand-up bass, multi-instrumentalist and vocalist Darrel Scott played everything from pedal steel guitar to banjo and Marco Giovino ruled the drum kit.
