I cleaned off the adhesive from a third bowl. These bowls appear to be in excellent condition and unused. One bowl either needs cleaned more deeply (I leave that to the new owner!), or has an imperfection in a small rim area. Please see the image. It was had to capture in an image as you need to turn it just the right way in the right light. Crafted in Germany in the late 20th century, these bowls are part of the Frederick the Great product line and are studio-crafted with care.
