Description: This is $100s less than the next best 6106-6430 on Ebay and it's an excellent example!! Ideal for the serious collector. In 1969 a watch that featured; hardelex crystal, day/date, quick day/date adjustment, rotating inner bezel, hacking and 70m water resist was a very desirable sports watch. It was the Seiko 5 Sports 70. Now, it's a very desirable collectors' item. This is a near perfect example in stunning condition, all original. It's hard to imagine a better example of this 53 year old classic. The condition is, overall, excellent. The hands, rotating bezel and dial are slightly aged. The case has been lightly re-finished, has slight patina and presents beautifully. Crystal has been re-polished, is hardlex crystal and looks like new. The dial and hands shows signs of ageing, the inner bezel is good but the main inverted trianglar marker has faded away. The black outer black enamel bezel has been touched up, see close up pic. The bracelet is original, clasp is signed. It is a little loose through wear. has had a clasp extender fitted and will fit up to 19.5 cm wrist. Presents beautifully. The 6106 movement is a variation on the 6119 (featuring hacking) that is, in my opinion, Seiko's best ever. It is in pristine condition, has just been professionally and passionately overhauled/serviced and functions perfectly.
