Description: Serviced Carl Zeiss Jena Biotar 58/2 M42 10 Blades Preset Lens Minty Cap Hood TRIVIA: famous German 'swirly bokeh' manual focus prime lens originally produced for 35mm SLR film cameras with M42 screw mount (Praktica, Contax, Pentacon, Praktiflex). ITEM CONDITION: an item used previously (prod. date ca 1960). Lens professionally overhauled (cleansed, relubed, adjusted) by a paid technician. So the item is absolutely clean and runs buttery smooth now, 10 blades perfect without abrasion, runs buttery smooth. Precise pinpoint focusing is a real joy with the lens now after a complete relube. No further investments needed - unless you plan to 'cinemod' the item. Glasses in fantastic (!) condition without fungus, without haze, even without mild scratches or various age-related scuffs that would be generally seenable under lamp. Kindly go check my two collages of lamp photos (Fig 3&4). A couple of production made mineral glass air bubbles present in the glasses (approx. 7-8 black dots visible under lamp). This is/was absolutely normal for fiest quality vintag Zeiss lens/es and generally makes no harm (read Fig 2).ACCESSORIES: metallic front cap with custom made print (M52 with 49/52 reduction), protective M52 filter (Digi HR: Sky also reduced to M49 lens barrell via 49/52 reduction), vintage lens hood (M49 original, applies on the lens barrell itself, not on filter), vintage leather case in very good shape.ADAPTATION: look for M42 to Sony E, GFX, FX, M4/3, EOS R... digital adapters here on eBay.
