Set 4 Antique Unger Brothers Kerr Loves Dream Art Nouveau Sterling Silver Vanity

Description: Offering a rare antique sterling silver four piece vanity set consisting of a mirror, clothes brushes, button hook and a rouge jar by Unger Brothers. Circa 1890’s. This fine set, in Unger’s desirable Loves Dream pattern, features a cherub kissing an Art Nouveau woman in the clouds. Above them are screaming griffins, below a pair of dolphins and a sleeping woman at the base of the handle, all in extremely high repousse’ relief. A beveled glass mirror, horse hair bristles, steel button hook and a fancy cut glass jar completes the design. Signed, Unger, Sterling, 925, Fine. Measuring: Mirror 10” Long, 5 1/2” Wide, Brush 9” Long, 3 1/8” Wide, Jar 3 1/4” Tall, 3 1/8” Wide. The condition is near mint. Remarkably the surfaces of each piece ie: Noses, Chins, Flowers etc, are near mint. Only a few insignificant dentings to the edges. The button hook is loose. The mirror is near mint, the original mirror glass is excellent. The horse hair bristles are very fine and the glass jar with minor roughness to the inner edge but, no chips or flea bites.
