Description: Striking Antique Porcelain DEMITASSE CUP Napoleon Bonaparte Horse, FSC Bohemia Click images to enlarge Description ANTIQUE NAPOLEON TEACUP Striking and lovely antique hand painted thin porcelain demitasse teacup or chocolate cup measuring 2" tall by 2-3/4" wide. Featuring a pedestal foot with wide, round bowl, graceful flared handle and the most amazing hand painted, embellished and transfer printed decoration around the exterior - heavily accented with gilding. Design depicts Napoleon Bonaparte on horseback with adviser and cavalry - bowl is accented with a border of Imperial Eagles on cobalt blue, and top edge bears a dainty floral design. Marked with the black flag for Friedrich Simon Company, who purchased "white ware" pieces from Bohemia Ceramic Works and hand decorated them. Dating around 1920, this listing is for the cup only - it is a beautiful, stand-alone piece with lovely, fine decoration - believe this image is from the Battle of Friedland from the Napoleonic Wars. Condition of the teacup is minty with no chips, cracks, hairlines, repairs, discoloration, gilding loss or damage.
