Description: This is a great lot of 32 very rare postcards from the 1988 San Diego Padres Smokey the Bear set. There is 25 of the 31 different postcards, only missing 6 for the whole set. These cards were given out at Jack Murphy Stadium (former home of the Padres) to fans under the age of 14. They were only available during one game, the Smokey Bear Day game promotion. I collected these postcards when I attended the game. These are real postcards that could be mailed with a stamp. The front features a photo of the player and the back contains a short biography of the player and a fire prevention hint from Smokey! As a long time collector, it is time for me to thin out my collection. Really good condition for 35+ year old postcards. The key card, Tony Gwynn, is in almost perfect condition. The cards have been kept in a card sleeves in a dry and smoke-free environment.
