She encounters all manner of folk/creatures in her voyage. Alice Cushing Donaldson Riley (1864-1953) was an author and playwright who lived in Evanston from 1898 until 1931. She wrote children’s poetry, songs, stories and several one-act plays. Rare Children's Book. Hardcover without dust jacket Color paste down illustration on Beige decorated boards. Hinges intact. Light markings noted in pictures. Some pages partially loose form binding but still safely attached. The 1907 edition has 6 color plates and 6 duo tone illustrations. Beautiful. The outside is in fair condition with slight tear on the title sticker and worn corners, common with books of this age. SIZE: 7 x 9 (approximately) PAGES: 205 pages I did not notice any writing on the pages apart from those in the photos in the beginning (Mrs. Lutz, J3 C, 10/10 125). Lovely piece for your antique book collection and children’s book collection.
