Description: These are beautiful transferware grill plates made between the 1930's and 1950's from the design and style of the plate. There is an English cottage design with a horse and rider and hunting dogs. I have not been able to locate information for the mark on the back of the plate, but is stamped Made in Japan with a patent number of 58403. This type of heavy ceramic plate was used in restaurants, diners and hotels throughout this period.I
