Description: This listing is for antique metal Charity Tzedakah Box and key from the Yeshiva Beit Yosef in Jerusalem, Israel. It is marked on the back in Hebrew with the name of Alfred Salzmann who was a Bezalel artist and teacher. I believe this to be from the 1950s. The key is not original but does work to unlock the box. On one edge in Hebrew it says that this charity was founded in 1890 in Galanta, Slovakia or what was formerly known as Czechoslovakia. The charity was founded by Rabbi Joseph Tzvi Dushinksy. This tzedakah box measures 4 7/8" x 3 15/16" x 1 15/16". It is in very good used condition with some scratches and rust. Please see the photos for more detail. Money-back guarantee.
