The Ivano-Frankivsk Oblast is situated on the South-West of Ukraine, at the interface of two large natural regions - the East European Plain and Eastern Carpathians. Just at that spot there are situated the highest point of Ukraine the Mount Hoverla (2061 metres) and the following well-known ski resorts: Yaremche, Mykulychyn, Sheshory, Vorokhta, Yablunytsia.
