Description: Unique Old Framed WATCHCOCK Circa 1770, Horological Institute COLLECTOR'S Piece Click images to enlarge Description FRAMED ANTIQUE WATCHCOCK DISPLAY Interesting and unusual collector's framed under glass antique pocket watch watchcock - frame measures 6-1/4" square and about 1" deep. Featuring a shadow box mount in mahogany wood frame with gold trim, watchcock is nestled into a piece of fabric, impressed with gold lettering THE WATCHCOCK CIRCA 1770. Back bears printed cardstock information about the history of the watchcock, and attests to the fact that this was an original pierced hand worked filigree brass piece dating 18th century - it is facsimile signed by a member of the British Horological Institute. Condition is lovely with no damage - it is complete with sturdy wire hanger and ready to display. I believe these were sold in England. A wonderful addition to any watch collection!
