Description: IRice Company Night Light and Perfume Burner The I.W. Rice Company did not manufacture any goods. They were an importer of vanity items, particularly perfume bottles that began its business in the 1920s. The company's sticker is missing from this lamp, but the Underwriters Laboratories sticker is still in place. The plug on this lamp is older and not polarized indicating this lamp was most likely produced before the mid 1960s when the National Electric Code required outlet receptacles to be polarized.The wider opening in the top white flower is where the perfume is placed. The heat from the light evaporates the perfume into the air. This vintage night light/perfume burner is in good working condition. The porcelain portion has a small chip on the right side of the tail feathers (see last photo). There are at least two flowers (larger white flower on top, photos 16, 17) (smaller white flower on the back of the swan, photos 18, 19) with small, hard to see chips. There may be other tiny chips that I did not see. The lamp has been stored in a dusty garage for many years. It has been lightly cleaned but needs a more thorough cleaning. Examine all photos closely.
