Description: This darling vintage French Bulldog figurine stands 5" tall x 4-1/2" wide. It has a light camel tan satin glaze, and dark brown facial features and trim on it's feet and ears. What a great expression this little dog has! The piece is hollow, with a stamped marking "Made in England" on the bottom of a paw. It is ceramic pottery by Denby or SylvaC, dating to the 1930's. There is a faint pattern of crazing on the glaze only visible with a magnifying glass. It appears to have been glazed and painted by hand - the finish is slightly mottled, and there are a couple of small brown spots. It is in excellent condition with no chips or cracks.
