VINTAGE ATHEARN ATLAS TRAIN SET PENN CENTRAL 40' BOX CAR RTR CAR # 77040

Description: This is a new in the box ready to run model of an HO scale 40' steel box car lettered for the Penn Central Railroad in the green "Mating Worms" paint scheme. This car was released by Athearn as item number 1206 in November of 1971 and made for Atlas train sets, and it is now out of production. These cars were made by Athearn and sold to Atlas for use in their line of HO train sets. Car number is 77040 and build date is 6-50. Car is in new condition with no broken steps and has Athearn plastic Bettendorf trucks and NMRA couplers. Pictures show side of the car in the box and the box end panel. Car is not in the original Atlas yellow window box with the cut out cardboard liner. Don't miss a chance to get this out of production freight car at a great price.
