Description: Vintage Commodore 1701 Monitor Recapped WORKING for Retrogaming This listing is for the monitor and original manual ONLY; there are NO video/audio cables included. The monitor has been fully and extensively tested. The unit has been freshly recapped (as of 10/29/2024) and functions well. However, there is one capaciptor which was not replaced on the power board, a 1uf 160V, as I did not have anymore in my stock. This should not cause any issues with function in the future and the capacitor tested fine. The entirety of the main board and neck board had capacitors changed out for newer high-quality ones. Many were showing signs of leaking/starting to leak on the main board (a picture is shown of the caps removed). The monitor works best for games that use composite or S-Video (requires an adapter cable; NOT included). Or just use it as the main display for a Commodore as it was intended. The sound on this monitor is excellent and VERY loud when turned all the way up. The bottom flap/cover is intact and functions as it should. Please be knowledgable about older tech such as this and how it functions. Also be aware that due to the age of the electronics, failure can happen in some components. Ideally, the recap I performed should exponentially increase this monitors lifespan. Everything I work on is done with the same amount of care that I would do for the same items in my personal collection.
