Description: This auction is for a Vintage Alpha Phi Tech Hi-Y YMCA Patch. I believe this is most likely from the 40s or 50s and is in nice shape for its age. Colors are nice - slight wear on edges. Measures 8" across the top and 7 1/2" from top to bottom. I haven't seen this version in searches. The YMCA started using the Hi-Y term back in 1927 which stands for High School YMCA and was only available to boys. The Tri- Hi-Y term was introduced shortly after to include girls - Today the program is co-ed. Nice piece of YMCA history!
