Description: This is a vintage Legitimus COLLINS & Co Roofers or Shinglers Hatchet. It measures 13.5" long. Sort of a tomahawk shape to the head. The head measures 6.25" wide with a 2.5" cutting edge. Weights about 2 pounds with the handle. Used and resharpened. The Hammer poll had a waffle face and that shows lots of use and mushrooming. Nail puller notch. Looks like an old replacement handle with black enamel finish and tight to the head. Nice old Collins. Guaranteed to please the new owner or I'll buy it back.
