These were painted at one time, but most of the paint has chipped away. These are in good condition. They are dry but are not split or damaged beyond what is considered average wear and tear due to age. These are gorgeous added to an existing porch as accent spindles. They also work Perfect for crafts or simply as decor. Add a top and base and use them as candle holders in front of a fireplace. Each salvaged spindle measures approximately 2" side to side at the widest point. They measure 24" tall with a 1" end on each end, making them a total of 26" long.
