The original owner said he had been keeping them in a warehouse for a very long time. I bought several of them from him lately. A Natsuya stone isn't being quarried anymore.A Natsu stone is great. It is good for being used before pre-finishing step. It sharpen metal surface very well and gives an edge a good sharpness. A Natsuya stone was used for sharpening Japanese swords in old times. It is hard to get the stone nowadays. There are 4 colour types of Natsuya stones, which are pale blue (white), orange, yellow (light orange), and orange and white stripes (tiger).
