Description: Vintage early 70's? to late 80's era slot car collection. I had & loved slot cars as a child but started to collect them in the early 90's, only buying new or the nicest examples I could find left at now long gone hobby stores back then 'just' when they were starting to get collectable and sought after. A: The 3 Aurora AFX Porsche 917 'Le Mans' cars, and the Aurora ULTRA 5 'Can-Am' are NEW (factory strapped) in their packaging with instruction pamphlets and never used! B: The Aurora G-Plus (Can-Am) and the Tyco-Pro (replica of the iconic Mercedes Benz C-111 rotary engine race car) I have run on the slot track but ONLY for one race each (about 10 laps) as to keep in perfect & collectable shape. They both have original packaging & instruction pamphlets. I bought them new in the box but COULDN'T RESIST to try them at least once just to see how they'd stand up to my late model (at the time) AFX Super G-Plus F-1. The vintage G-Plus which also... 'lol', boasts being 'the fastest car' at the time, was very fast, but man I have to say... the Tyco was like WOW! And unbelievably the FASTEST slot car I have ever had!!! Even blew away my newer super G+! But the magnets were her weak point as she would easily fly off the track in a corner (no worries, as a collector running my 2 fav new out of box rare cars I had LOTS of pillows around said track so no launching into the walls). However...... that made it very interesting as it was in my opinion the 'epitome' of slot car challenge i.e. stupid fast but you really had to use throttle skill & braking, (just like any real super car) and if you honed that... you would win every race with this Tyco-Pro! The Tyco also has a very unusual feature (not sure how many if any other models had this) which is a pivoting front axle to help guide her through the corners! C: The 'Le Mans' Ford J, De Tomaso Mangusta, and Ferrari 250 gto are I think Aurora Thunder Jets? They have been raced I'm sure many times and could use some detailing (to remove dust) & oiling ect. if you want to run them, however they do run! The Ford J is also a slightly rare one since she has headlamps (which still illuminate)! The Ferrari also has working lamps. ALL 3 are (in my opinion espec considering age) in good to very-good condition, with no rust or broken parts. Even original tires are in very nice shape. D: Also including a really cool (late 70's?) Ford GT 40 Matchbox (made in England) car. I kept it with the others since was the same era of racers and scale size. NOTE this is a free roller not electric. Condition is good. Thanks for looking! :) P.s. I don't 'need' to sell these, and prob will regret after I do but I am trying to down size my many collections now as I don't have the time to dedicate appropriately any longer and would like them to find an appreciative new home. Ergo no low ball offers please.
