Description: Vintage 1987 Univega Alpina Pro - Chro-Mo Fork - Use for Randonneur/MTB/Touring Matching frame listed separately. This vintage 1987 fork was on the higher end when it was produced in Japan by the Miyata factory. Originally equipped with high end vintage Shimano Deore components, the Univega Alpina Pro Mountain Bike was great for off road mountain biking, touring, randonneur riding, or bikepacking. The fork is equipped with multiple eyelets for racks and panniers. Forks are a beautiful lugged chromoly steel. Color is "black chrome". The finish is in pretty bad shape but it looks like you could use some paint remover and still keep the chrome finish that is the base underneath the black anodized top coat. Fork is 1" (1 inch) threaded. Length of steerer tube is 4.75 inches. Key Uses: Rando Bike Frame/Fork Randonneur Bike Frame/Fork Touring Bike Frame/Fork Bikepacking Bike Frame/Fork The fork originally came with cantilever brakes but is compatible with V-Brakes. The fork has a lugged design and multiple eyelets for mounting racks. Sold as-is. Ask any questions you may have before buying. Ships to addresses in the lower 48 continental US only.
