Description: The pottery is in great condition with no chips, cracks or crazing. Sorry I could not get pictures without glare. The pottery has a shiny finish and I kept getting reflections. The pottery appears black but sometimes I look at it and it looks light a midnight blue. It is a very pretty piece of Van Briggle pottery. The switch is not functioning correctly and will need to be replaced. When pushed lightly it will light up but when pushed all the way it turns off. The pottery is about 9" tall and the lamp with finial about 17 1/2".
