Description: WILLIAM ALSAGER ADDERLY OF LONGTON WAA ANGLAIS 10” ANTIQUE DECORATIVE PLATE. This auction is for a 10” antique decorative plate created by William Alsager Adderley of Longton. The pattern is typical as it features two views, a prominent main scene of an idealic community printed within a rustic frame and a smaller vignette of a hunting scene in a circular frame, all encrusted and surrounded by sprays of flowers and leaves. The Makers Mark on the plate’s reverse incorporates a registration diamond with the series title “ANGLAIS” beneath and though faded, it includes a circular ship trademark accompanied by the maker’s initials WAA. Also included is the registration diamond. There is an embossed 1 above 10 and the trade name “IVORY”. This plate was produced somewhere between 1876 and 1885. It is in very good condition for its age (SEE IMAGES FOR ITEM DETAILS – any glare is due to photographing the glossy items). Shipping is $7 within the U.S. only via USPS. The winning bidder agrees to send payment within 5 days of auction. Any questions, E-mail me. Thank you!
