Description: "Winter in Peterson Park" is an original oil painting and not a reproduction. It was hand painted and completed in February of 2022. I used an Artist's Loft Gallery Wrapped Traditional Canvas Artist Level 2 Medium weight cotton duck archival quality. This scene is one I painted to depict Peterson Memorial Park in the beautiful town of Wolcott, Connecticut which is just slightly west of the general central Connecticut area. The town of Wolcott is neighbors with Waterbury and Southington for instance. It's sold unframed, ready to hang, however it will look great in a frame of your choice. I hope that this original painting will be a part of your collection for your home, office, or a gift for a friend or loved one. sincerely, Adam Artist’s StatementDuring my days in Elementary school, I enjoyed drawing in my free time and had some good results both in and out of school with my artwork. At times, classmates or friends and family complemented my work plus, I enjoyed the process of creating it, so I realized it made clear sense to continue on that path. Later in high school one evening a best friend of mine came over who was destined to have a career in computers, so he was busy being occupied on my computer in another room and I found myself in the dining room creating a piece of artwork. I knew at that moment that pursuing a career in art was what made the most sense for me because I was impressing myself with my exploration of colors and how deeply involved, I was with the creation of that piece. Fast forward to the summer of 2022 - I’m long out of college with a bachelor’s of fine arts degree in illustration but choosing to focus on oil painting and aside from my belief in creating better and better work by improving my technical abilities as time goes on I still need something more as a driving force and now I’ve discovered it: My love of shopping for gifts either for myself or for others and the memories of so called brick and mortar or physical stores that one can shop at to brighten and inspire ones day. Whether it’s a book, music album, painting, figurine or what have you, I want to keep in mind the love of shopping for gifts and imbue it in my creation of artwork. Whether my artwork or books are for sale online or in a physical store I’m working from my heart and mind to create something special for you. Sometimes I use strategies such as a goal of completing a painting in one day in order to properly manage my creative energy. Lastly, I’ll say that embracing the types of gifts I enjoy and am inspired by or create requires honesty and not being afraid to like what I like and create what I like rather than hiding behind what a certain crowd of people deem acceptable. If it’s from deep inside of me and I can impress myself with what I’ve done, then I believe it will connect to the right audience. Some more details about my education and art resume below. I earned a BFA degree in illustration from Paier College of Art in Hamden, Connecticut (now Paier College in Bridgeport, CT) two semesters towards a Masters degree in fine art at RIT (Rochester Institute of Technology) by 2005 but decided not to continue on that path. There I took completed courses in art gallery management, psychology of teaching and learning, Philosophy of art and aesthetics, graduate painting and more. My artwork has been on exhibit in the following places: Chimney Crest Manor Bed and Breakfast in Bristol Connecticut. Glenthorne Quaker Guest House in Grasmere England UK, Paier College of art 2nd place winner in Fine Arts, Gallery R in Rochester New York, Jerome Home in New Britain Connecticut.
