Army Air Corps for WW II. He spent 44 months in the military 30 of which were spent with the 417th Nightfighter squadron. He served in England, Algeria, Corsica, France, and Germany before returning home in 1945. He called this book his hobby, but his friends knew it was a labor of love and a tribute to the men of the 417th Nightfighter Squadron. A rather uncommon and difficult book to find.
